Kasirye Gwanga
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has this morning promoted Brig. Kasirye Gwanga from the brigadier rank to Major General.
His appointment comes hours after the Inspector General of police was axed along with security Minister Gen. henry Tumukunde.
In the statement, the force’s spokesperson Brig Richard Karemire said, the president on recommendation of the Commissions Board on March 3, 2018 also approved the promotion to different ranks of 1,384 officers and militants.
Among others who were promoted include Brig Rwabantu to Maj Gen(Deputy General officer Commanding Reserves) -Col Charles Wacha to Brig(Director Human Rights )
