Government spokesperson Mr. Ofwono Opondo has praised the role played by the former Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura.
Speaking to this website, Ofwono said that Kayihura is still a serving army officer and will be soon redeployed in the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF).
Ofwono added that Kayihura was a disciplined and focussed officer who would not cause trouble though like any other human being, he could make some minor mistakes.
Gen. Kayihura and his counterpart Gen. Henry Tumukunde were fired on Sunday evening and replaced by Okoth Ochola and Gen. Elly Tumwine respectively.
