Newly appointed security Minister Gen. Elly Tumwine has this afternoon taken oath.
In an event that took place at State House Entebbe, Tumwine expressed his sincere appreciation for an opportunity to serve Uganda.
Speaking on the same event, president tasked Tumwine to be keen at work and coordinate with other security agencies to find solutions for certain problems.
The event was also attended by the Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, first Lady Janet Museveni, and other top Ministers.
Gen. Tumwine takes over from Gen. Henry Tumukunde who was fired recently by the Head of State over issues better known to him.
