Opposition’s Dr. Kiiza Besigye Kifeefe has passed a word of motivation to the Uganda athletic team in Gold Coast for the Common wealth games.
Dr. who is described as one of the most patriotic Ugandans says he is on his knees paying for the team to make the Pearl of Africa Proud.
He however also tasks them to defy all hardship they may encounter to see that victory comes our way.
The team has already jetted in Gold Coast, Australia for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
A team of 13 runners, a javelin thrower and coach Nalis Bigingo were flagged off on Tuesday afternoon at the National Sports Complex at Lugogo by AIGP Andrew Sorowen.
The Games opening ceremony was held yesterday and action begins today.
Mr Sorowen urged the team to have discipline and a spirit of ambassadorship.
