The inaugural FUFA Drum tournament played on a league format enters match day 3 this weekend but teams will be expected to play back to back action on 7th and 14th/15th April.
The excitement matches that have drawn massive crowds across all venues will see another round played on Saturday.
‘We know the tensions that will come with the weekend games as some teams are planning to put a foot in the quarterfinals. Some teams have picked up good results in the opening two rounds. We shall leave no stone unturned’ said The FUFA Drum Organising Committee Chairman Rogers Byamukama.
The matches to be played this weekend will be honoured in reverse next weekend.
‘It is not easy for teams to face off twice in a space of a week. My working committee will be alert on duty to deliver a good job’ added Byamukama.
Busoga and Kampala Provinces are the only teams with maximum points (6 each) picked from the opening two Match Days. Wins for both team off their opponents will brighten their chances of places in the Quarterfinals.
Sebei is the only Province yet to pick up a point while Buganda and Karamoja have a point each.
