Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze has said that government should respond to Archbishop Lwanga’s allegations.
Speaking to our Insider, Nambooze said that its unfortunate that the men of God with an obligation to guide and streamline the people are instead the ones being hunted and threatened.
Nambooze also noted that they will not allow Archbishop of Kampala Cyprian Kizito Lwanga get assassinated like Janan Luwum who died during Amin’s regime.
This comment follows the Archbishop’s claim of saying government is using some priests to spy on him and other religious leaders.
However in response, Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda assured the lawmakers that the President is in regular contact with different religious leaders and some of the issues were already being discussed.
