Minister Amelia Kyambadde and her Congolese Counterpart launched the Simplified Trade Regime (STR)
Uganda has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Democratic Republic of Congo to promote and streamline trade and investment between the 2 countries with emphasis on Cross border trade.
In the MoU, both countries have committed themselves to remove the Non Tarrif barriers to trade and simplify the cross border procedures.
In the same vein, Minister Amelia Kyambadde and her Congolese Counterpart launched the Simplified Trade Regime (STR), an arrangement implemented by the 2 countries under COMESA to streamline cross border trade.
