Commonwealth game Medalists have arrived at Entebbe Airport today. They have been given a heroic welcome and were received by the First Lady and sports Minister Janet Museveni.
Stella Chesang won for Uganda a Gold medal in the Women’s 10,000m final and Merceline Chelangat also secured bronze in the same race.
Maj. Juma Seiko could not control his excitement and he ended up carrying golden boy Joshua Cheptegei who won two gold medals.
Solomon Mutai won a silver medal in the men’s marathon.
Uganda managed to finish in the fifteenth place with six medals. Government officials have promised to reward the athletes accordingly.
