In bid to promote young talent and transform people’s lives, Solar now has this morning unveiled the sponsorship to fast raising rally Driver Didas Mastiko.
Speaking to the media at their head office in Kamapala, Dullo Douglas the marketing and sales manager said that the company is committed in spotting and uplifting people of Ugandans though not only the provision of affordable solar energy solutions but also see young people grow into great and influential personalities.
The shs. 85m financial sponsorship will be an annual deal that will see Inertia Runway’s Matsiko show case his talent and also boost the sport in Uganda and tourism in rural areas of the pearl of Africa.
In his remarks on the solar now sponsorship, Didas Matsiko described this as a great milestone and golden opportunity for his dream of becoming a champion to come true.
He says that for over years his performance has been curtailed by finances, but now that solar now has relived the burden, then he is now set to hit the road with much vigor.
“The biggest challenge we face as rally drivers is limited financial resources. To win, one needs to have a nice team, monster car, spares and even a settled mind which can’t happen when one is worried about finances. I have hope that my performance will highly improve after the coming of Solar now.” Mastiko said.
This sponsorship comes a few days to the Masaka rally that will take place this Saturday on 28th/April/2018 where Mastiko is one of the men to watch.
In addition, Mr. Andrew Bagenda noted that solar now is set to also invest in other ventures to see that Uganda becomes a better place for everyone.
