Police in Kawempe has participated in a cleanup exercise to combat Cholera.
As a community responsiveness move, policemen showed that they would not only fight crime and prosecute wrong doers, but would also employ different strategies to make the community a better place.
Today, Fabrash General Supplies, Nabweru Division Councilors, Kawempe Division Police team and residents participated in a massive cleanup exercise in areas of Maganjo Mao Road, Maganjo Trading Centre and the surroundings following the recent cholera outbreak alert in parts of Kampala City.
Area residents also supported the move and gave a hand and praised the area police for maintaining security and being responsive towards their other concerns.
The DPC. ASP. Ronald Wotwali called for more community cleanup exercises in the face of the soaring cholera outbreak that has affected some parts of Kampala as reported by the Ministry of Health.
“Working together can make a difference in our various areas in terms of fighting against diseases and crime,” ASP. Wotwali said.
