The Inspector General of Government, Irene Mulyagonja Kakooza has directed the National Council of Sports (NCS) to suspend the operation of the contract they have with Pastor Elvis Mbony’s ZOE Fellowship Ministries for the use of Lugogo Cricket Oval.
There has been a public outcry and also by the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) after the NCS awarded Mbonye’s Ministries a five year contract (worth over Uganda Shillings 200million) to use the Cricket Oval every Tuesday.
Speaking to this website, IGG vowed to form a special committee to investigate the National Council of Sports and all its operations since their attitude towards protection of the nations resources seems to be the last priority.
She also wondered whether the word of God means distraction of the countries resources.
