Besides of the Eid Celebrations excitement, the Uganda Police has this morning played an iconic move to hold a meeting with activists protesting against increasing insecurity in the country.
The Uganda police chaired by Deputy Inspector General of Police Brig. Sabiti Mzeeyi and the Director of Interpol Police AIGP Asan Kasingye underscored the need for collective responsibility in the fight against criminality.
The Twenty peaceful protesters from the Women’s Protest Working Group (WPG) called for immediate intervention to establish a solution to the increasing security especially the attacks against women some the force confirmed to put in consideration since efforts have already been launched to safeguard everyone in the pearl of Africa.
It should be noted that this meeting has come after several attempts by women protesters being ignored to an extend of incarcerating some of the protesters.
