Police in Bweyogerere have arrested one man suspected to have fraudulently sold an acre of land at Shs80m.
Police identified the suspect as Amos Kinene aged 62 a businessman and resident of Mutungo Zone 4, Nakawa Division in Kampala District.
The suspect allegedly sold the land located at Lumuli Seeta, Goma Division Mukono District to a business man Gideon Kyaterekera on 19th April 2018 and issued a forged land tittle upon receiving the agreed amount of money.
Mr Kyaterekera on taking surveyors to map the said land, found out that he had been sold to a piece of land that was caveated and belonged to a different owner.
Bweyogerere police have preferred charges of forgery, obtaining money by false pretenses and the suspect will appear before court as soon as investigations are complete.
