Makerere University academician and activist Dr. Stella Nyanzi has vowed not to sit down as the State continues to torture innocent souls.

Making a comment following the unrealistic and brutal arrest of the celebrated Kyadondo East lawmaker Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, Nyanzi says she is ready to lead a protest in front of Makindye military barracks.

According to the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) Spokesperson Brig. Richard Kalemire yesterday revealed that Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu is being detained in Makindye barracks.

“As part of the investigations into these acts of violence, the Police arrested key organizers and participants including Hon Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi the Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East Constituency. During the search of his hotel room by investigators, he was found possessing arms and ammunition which are ordinarily a monopoly of the Defence Forces.” Kalemire said.

However aggrieved Nyanzi has started by mobilizing people through her social media platforms ahead of the #FreeBobiWine Red ribbon peaceful protest.
