Arua Municipality Newly elected Member of Parliament Hon. Kassiano Wadir has been banned from travelling or staying in his constituency for the next 3 months.
Gulu resident Judge Stephen Mubiru also refrained Kassiano from holding celebratory processions, as this could interfere with the case investigation.
“I find that it is desirable in the interest of completion of this case, that we have an environment of calmness in this area so that all parties prepare their cases without any interruptions. In case he needs to meet with his constituents, he would need to seek court permission.” the judge ruled.
Wadri is among the 14 opposition leaders that have so far been granted bail over the recent Arua mayhem that was characterized of bloodshed and chaos.
Among others freed include Hon Robert Kyagulanyi, Gerald Karuhanga, Paul Mwiru, former MP for Makindye, Mike Mabikke among others.
The Court released the suspects on a Shs 5 Million non-cash bond each, while each of their sureties were placed on a Shs 10Million bond.
