Eddie Mutwe with Fire Base’s Nubian Li
The Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) CDF Gen David Muhoozi and the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) have been directed to unconditionally release Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi wine)’s body guard Eddie Sebuufu aka Eddie Mutwe.
Eddie Mutwe’s whereabouts are still unknown since last Saturday when he was allegedly arrested by security operatives at Ssemakokero plaza in Kamwokya a Kampala suburb.
The Kampala High Court judge Musa Sekaana heard and granted a habeas corpus application filed by Eddie Mutwe’s lawyer Anthony Kusingura seeking court to order to release Mutwe, who the lawyer claims is held incommunicado against the 48 hour rule.
In a ruling made this morning, Eddie Mutwe should be released or produced in court if he has any charges against him not later than 4th September 2018
It should be noted that during the recent joint security press briefing by heads of security agencies in the country in Naguru, the CDF denied knowledge of the arrest and whereabouts of Bobi Wine’s Body Guard.
