Yesterday, different opposition leaders and activists started a fundraising campaign aimed at saving some of the tortured Arua mayhem victims.
The campaign started by famous Makerere University academician and activist Dr. Stella Nyanzi started two accounts for one Shaban Atiku and Night Asara who undergoing medication at Family Care Clinic in Arua town.
According to Nyanzi in less than hours, Eight Hundred and Forty Thousand Uganda Shillings (840,000/=) for Shaban Atiku and 0ne Million Three Hundred and Eleven Thousand Uganda Shillings (1,311,000/=) for Night Asara has so far been collected.

Alternatively, deposit contributions into his personal bank account number 1023101087132 at Equity Bank, Arua Branch. For NIGHT ASARA, please send mobile money contributions to MTN (+256) 0771824117 in the names of Stella Nyanzi or Airtel (+256) 0752885088 in the names of Harriet Nyanzi. Alternatively, deposit contributions into her personal bank account number 1023100910643 at Equity Bank, Arua Branch. Please continue sending your financial contributions until we have raised enough to nurse our comrades back to health.” She stated.
Among other victims is the Kyadondo East Lawmaker Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi and Mityana’s Francis who are all abroad for further medication.
