First daughter Natasha Karugire premiered her war memoir “27 Guns” at the Metropolex Mall in Naalya on 8th September 2018. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his wife Janet Museveni honored the event.
“27 Guns” is a story which features president Museveni, retelling the bush war struggle that ushered the current regime into power. On February 6th 1981, a small group of fighters, armed with 27 guns and pistols attacked Kabamba military barracks launching an armed struggle against the late Apollo Milton Obote’s government.
