Judiciary Letter Reveals Pamela Kentaro Was in Mombasa for Training

ASP Pamela Kentaro

Social media reports indicating that police officer ASP Pamela Kentaro has been spying on Bobi Wine while in US have been watered down after a letter from the Judiciary showed that the officer was officially discharged for training in Mombasa.

Kentaro of Counter terrorism Unit has been the talk on social media after photos showed her on board with Bobi Wine at JK Airport in Nairobi on Thursday. Social media critics were quick to conclude that Kentaro who was clad in civilian clothes was deployed to spy on Bobi Wine who has been in US for close to 3weeks seeking specialized treatment after he was allegedly tortured by security.

In her statement, Kentaro said that it was coincidental that she met Bobi Wine at JK Airport whom she has been so close to and that the latter invited her to seat near her. She was returning from a training workshop in Mombasa.

Indeed, a letter dated September 12, 2018 has emerged where Deputy Head of Anti-Corruption Division, Judiciary Margaret Tibulya is requesting the IGP to clear Kentaro and four others for a training workshop on AMI/CFT Information Exchange in Mombasa.

“I have nominated the under listed police officers to participate in the above training [AMI/CFT Information Exchange] workshop to be held in Mombasa Kenya on 17thto 19th September 2018. This is therefore to request you to permit them to attend the training,” Justice Tibulya’s letter to the IGP reads. ASP Kentaro has been attached to Judiciary. Others who attended this workshop include; D/SP George Komurubuga, D/IP Herbert Mulumba, D/IP Lawrence Ogenmungu and D/AIP Joseph Kyenda.
