Uganda Police Force Deputy Spokesperson Patrick Onyango has hailed the team that picked up Mityana Municipality MP Hon Francis Zaake after landing at Entebbe International Airport.
According to Onyango, the operation was carried out successfully and the lawmaker is now safe.
“It was a success, He was escorted to his home in Mityana. No arrested as people claim. Zaake is enjoying tea with his people in Mityana.” Onyango said.
“Its so unfortunate, He was helplessly picked up on the tarmac and driven a place we are yet to establish. His wife who had travelled with him was left at the airport.” Human rights lawyer Nicholas Opiyo said.
Zaake was returning from India where he had traveled for specialized medication a month back following the revolting injuries sustained on 13th August when security operative clashed with Opposition Voters in Arua municipality.
