Mityana Municipality MP, Francis Zaake has thrown the country in suspicion following the statement issued plotting to individually sue the specific officers who wanted him to kiss the coffin at a tender age.
Zaake says he knows the Special Forces Command soldiers that tortured him and noted that their days are now numbered.
The youthful lawmaker who is still recovering after extensive medical treatment in Uganda and in India, is one of dozens that were brutalized during the chaotic Arua municipality parliamentary by-election campaign.
During these clashes, Kyadondo lawmaker Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert’s driver Yasin Kawuma was killed in cold blood and till now no one has ever been tried for his murder.
Zaake says the officers beat up his legs while telling him he would never walk again.
“The most painful thing is when they started pulling my private parts,” painfully said Zaake added noting that; “This impunity must stop. The officers must be prosecuted and if not, our legal team has started working to bring the perpetrators to book.”
SFC Spokesperson Jimmy Omara trashed Zaake’s claims as baseless.
“Of course, running to the media, crying foul won’t help him. Let him come to us openly and help investigators so that they find the truth to this,” advised Omara before adding that; “I believe there is no truth in his statement and am sure he is making every attempt to keep his story relevant.”
Zaake also said that he will sue Kirudu hospital doctors who examined him minus his permission.
