Nansana Man Arrested for Hosting Besigye at Home Out on Bail

Mr. Luzze Musa of Nansana municipality was yesterday arrested by officials from the Uganda police for hosting former Presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye at his home.

Besigye visited his friend Musa, a resident of Nabweru, Nansana on Wednesday afternoon but was immediately arrested by Police and detained at Nansana Police Station where he was not allowed to meet anyone be it his relatives.

The nine excited Bodaboda riders who had come to take photos with Besigye at Musa’s home were also chased and their Bodabodas impounded by Police as they scattered.

However earlier this morning together with his lawyers and other leaders, Besigye managed to secure bail.

According to Dr. Kiiza Besigye, even the nine motorcycles that were impounded by the police from the riders have been returned to their owners.

FDC President Patrick Oboi Amuriat, Hon. Francis Mwijukye (MP Buhweju), FDC Sec for Mobilisation Ingrid Turinawe, Former Nansana Municipality MP Wakaima Nsereko and several area leaders joined were among the team that rescued Musa.
