The police at Isimba has recovered a stolen land cruiser ambulance REG.NO UAW 984Z belonging to the China International Water and Electric Company (CEC) one of the companies constructing the dam.
It is alleged that the driver convinced his bosses that he was taking the ambulance to the washing bay, driving it out and handed it to someone who crossed with it using a ferry in Kamuli.
After sometime the contractors became suspicious and reported the matter to police that mounted roadblocks and it was later impounded in iganga.
“We have one Kagodda musa to help us in investigations while the driver Mufumbiro Abdul is on the run and efforts to arrest him are underway. We call upon the general public to always report to nearest police in case of such incidents.” Police urged.
