Former Democratic Party President Paul Kawanga ssemwogerere has this afternoon collapsed at Rubaga Cathedral during the Sunday main service.
The mass led by the Kampala Archdeacon Kizito Lwanga was for the celebration to mark the 52 creation of the Kampala Archdioceses.
Kawanaga who was in the congregation, collapsed and was immediately rushed to the hospital but some the relatives and friends in the service.
Kawanga who retired from active politics has been undergoing a series of medication but positively responding.
Members of his family say he is in a stable condition, as they wait for doctors report.
He was the leader of the Democratic Party for 25 years and one of the main players in Ugandan politics until his retirement in 2005.
