Tanzanian music star Ali Kiba, and sworn enemy of Wasafi record C.E.O Diamond Platinumz declined Diamond’s request to make peace and perform at his Wasafi Festival.
According to Ali Kiba, he said that he could not make it because he has more important issues to attend to than Diamond’s Wasafi event.
“Pia ndugu zangu #Wasafi tumepata salamu zenu, nashukuru kwa mualiko wenu, ila kwa bahati mbaya sitoweza kushiriki kwa sasa kutokana na majukumu ya kuzindua Mofaya katika nchi zingine,” read part of his statement.
However, Ali Kiba said that despite his enmity with Diamond, he will continue to support Tanzanian music Industry by supporting Wasafi Festival with his Mofaya Energy drink as one of the sponsors in a bid to continue the growth of the Tanzanian arts industry in Africa.
“Hata hivyo tusingependa kuwaacha hivi hivi, tupo tayari kuwapa support ya kudhamini tamasha lenu kupitia #MofayaEnergyDrink ili kuweza kusukuma mbele gurudumu la maendeleo ya sanaa yetu Tanzania na Africa,” he narrated.
However, very many people have praised Diamond for showing maturity for the first time and making an effort to bridge the gap between the two. Others also say that Diamond had to bend low and ask Ali Kiba to perform so as to have a huge turn up at his festival.
