Forum for Democratic Party (FDC) President Patrick Amuriat has reshuffled the opposition shadow cabinet.
According to the notice released on Thursday, FDC has surprisingly appointed NRM rebel MP Muhammed Nsereko (Kampala Central) as a shadow minister for security. At the same time, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, MP for Kyadondo East MP is missing on the cabinet list. Nsereko who was initially NRM stood as Independent MP in the 2016 elections while Kyagulanyi is independent but FDC leaning.
In the new cabinet reshuffle, Medard Sseggona retained his position as shadow minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs, while Winfred Niwagaba, another NRM rebel MP also retained his position as Attorney General. Kato Lubwama has been appointed shadow minister of Culture and Performing Arts while Betty Nambooze has been moved from minister for Local Government to Kampala Capital City Authority. Former Leader of Opposition (LoP) Winfred Kiiza has not been appointed in this new cabinet.
