Bobi Wine is a lair, We are Not Fighting His Music – Police

The Uganda police force has rubbished claims taking rounds on social media and other channels indicating the force is witch hunting Kyadondo East Lawmaker Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine.

According to the force’s mouthpiece, Bobi Wine was not among the musicians cleared to perform in Jinja therefore his claims that it’s the force against him is a big a fib.

“By the time of the concert clearance, Bobi Wine was not among the people expected to perform, how did he get there?” Police revealed.

Police says Bobi Wine should not try to take advantage of his criminal tendencies to tint the force’s image since he understands how the Public Order Management operates.

During the weekend, Bobi Wine’s team was rounded up in Jinja town and forced to return to Kampala over allegations of inciting the public.

Bobi wine insists these acts are aimed at fighting his career and profession since other musicians are working but he is being singled out.

“I still need answers as to why I am singled out and not allowed to practice my profession while my fellow artists are working! If I have a crime, why do you run away from me when I come to your offices? If I have a case to answer, why don’t you summon me and prosecute me as the law requires? Why is the IGP not responding to the protest letter I wrote to him last week about this unconstitutional conduct of the men and women who we pay to keep law and order? Why don’t you arrest me in broad day light if I have  one anything unlawful?” Bobi Wine stated.
