Seasoned politician Dr. Kizza Besigye has declared 2019 as a year of serious action.
Besigye made this comment on Friday 21st December as he addressed press at his residence in Kasangati, Wakiso district.
“2019 must be the year of action. He said regime opponents must work together and coordinate on areas of “mobilisation, organisation and actions” He stated.
According to Besigye, mobilisation has been effective over the years, saying now what is required is organised coordination at leadership level to implement collectively actions that will put regime on pressure to either negotiate its exit or fall.
Besigye further highlighted several cases of tragedies, murders, corruption, human rights violations etc. that characterized 2018 although he also talked about moments of national jubilation like success in sports, academic competitions, literature and Miss Uganda triumph in China.
“We have always known that Uganda’s corruption starts at the top. What this year has helped Ugandans do is get evidence that this corruption starts with Museveni himself. I invite all of you to get details of the American trial and understand how terrible the people who claim to led this country are.” He noted.
