In a bid to increase usage of their digital platforms, Stanbic Bank Uganda has rewarded 24 lucky customers who participated in the 12 days of Christmas campaign with an assortment of digital gifts for using the Bank’s digital platforms.

The campaign which kicked off on 4th December and ended on the 19th of December 2018 was aimed at rewarding Stanbic Bank customers for making transactions through its digital channels.

While speaking at the handover ceremony of the prizes to the winners, at Crested Towers, Stanbic Bank’s Head, Digital Banking, Veronica Sentongo, thanked the customers for participating in the promotion.

She said, “We appreciate the huge number of customers who have used our Stanbic App, Mobile, Online and Agent Banking platforms to make transactions. Indeed, this year, the bank has witnessed a remarkable increase in usage of the bank’s digital channels which has led to an increase in the number of users from 8,000 in 2016 to over 100,000 30-day active customers today. The 12 Days of Christmas promotion which is a continuation of the DigiCashBack campaign, is a social media campaign aimed at rewarding customers for transacting with us on our Digital Channels. These include: The Stanbic App, Mobile banking (*290#), Online banking and Agent Banking.”

The campaign’s aim is therefore to encourage customers to incorporate banking into their lifestyle such that Digital Banking may be more of a pleasurable experience than the typical time-consuming chore of lining up in the branch queues.

“We have understood our customer needs and through providing low-cost self-service digital channels, we are able to place our customers in control of their overall enhanced banking experience. We have taken seriously, the increasing technological evolution of our customers in terms of their needs and use of technology thus facilitating convenience. For this reason, the bank will continue to invest in innovation,” she added.

Veronica concluded, “We encourage our customers to continue to enjoy Stanbic Bank’s Digital Lifestyle experience even beyond the promotion and enjoy the convenience that we bring right to you.”
