SINGER Catherine Kusasira says that she is dissapointed ith the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert alias Bobi Wine.

According to Kusasira, she says that she feels betrayed by the artistes in parliament especially Bobi Wine because they have not represented the music industry as expected.

We supported Bobi Wine to go to Parliament and that is precisely why I even sung for him during his rallies before he joined Parliament but I feel betrayed because he’s not doing what we wanted him to do.”

Kusasira further says that limiting artistes shows is a good idea and therefore they should accept the regulations because that will make them get more money during the one show.

“An artiste will have a high bargaining power unlike before when musicians used to perform for less in different areas. If an artiste is required to perform in one place, they will be paid highly.”

This comes after, through their unifying body, organized a meeting at Jahazi Pier over the weekend to discuss a way forward and one of the major surprises at the meeting was Catherine Kusasira’s appearance. According to the artistes, they believe that the regulations are meant to target Bobi Wine instead of developing artistes.
