Security Minsiter Gen. Elly Tumwine has challenged Ugandan Youth to stay away from any form of violence and unconstitutional acts.
Speaking during the National Liberation day happening in Tororo, Tumwine stated that government shall not allow state security to be compromised by selfish individuals.
He says if the Youth are interested in taking over power, they should consult the veteran leaders for guidance on how to take the pearl of Africa forward, but any form of plot to sabotage peace and stability will immediately get foiled.
These comments come at the time when a section of Youth are getting taken by the political hysteria of the People Power pressure group mobilizing youths to rise up and fight for their rights.
The movement lead by Kyadondo East lawmaker Hon Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu is trailing on slogans like “Twebereremu” a luganda statement calling for self-consciousness.
According to several Youths subscribing to this group claims that there is no reason to celebrate today’s liberation day since till now Uganda is not yet liberated from bad governance.
