The Uganda Police force has this morning granted to the three arrested BBC Journalists together with the wife to the NBS TV journalist Solomon Serwanja after spending two nights behind bars.
The team was arrested as they carried out an investigative story on the illegal sell of government medicine. They include Godfrey Badebye, Shafiq Kisame and Rashid Kaweesa, all working for BBC together with the Ministry of Health official Vivian Sserwanja who doubles as a wife to famous NBS TV Journalist.
They have all been Charged With Being In Unlawful Possession Of Classified Government Drugs.
The Human Rights Net Work for Journalists (HRNJ) National Coordinator Mr. Robert Sempala, hailed everyone who played an active role in seeing that the team gets justice.
He added that the struggle and fight for the rights of Journalists continues.
