Congo President Félix-Antoine Tshekedi has been elected as the 2nd Vice-President of African Union (AU) in Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
The election came on Sunday afternoon the regime led by Rwanda President Paul Kagame handed over office to Egypt’s Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
According to protocol, President Tshekedi comes after Ist Vice President who is Cyril Ramaphosa (South Africa), 3rd Vice President is Mahamadou Issoufou (Niger).
Ramaphosa will be AU’s next acting President in 2020.
