The ruling Party National Resistance Movement (NRM) deputy Chief Whip Hon. Hon. Solomon Silwany has described the opposition move of declaring peoples government as a comic and step back.
Speaking while appearing on NBS morning breeze, Silwany said that Former presidential Candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye pressed a panic button.
He noted that Besigye has been deleted from the Media by Kyadondo East lawmaker Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine.
“I think Dr. Besigye has pressed a panic button, recently he has been deleted from the media, Bobiwine has taken the stage so he is trying to do something to maintain relevance which I think is not going to work.” Hon. Silwany noted.
Hon. Silwany also revealed that It is really laughable to find that Besigye who claims to have won elections is declaring a cabinet after three years off the election time.
“Besigye accepted defeat that we won him, that’s why his team appointed the Shadow cabinet and committees that they are busy fighting for. I think President Kaguta Museveni is a lucky man and is going to keep leading Uganda because the opposition isn’t organized and the president is organized.” He revealed.
Yesterday the Forum for Democratic Change revealed the Dr. Kiiza Besigye’s formulated peoples government will liberate Uganda from the standing National Resistance Movement Slavery.
Speaking during the press conference held this afternoon, FDC Party spokesperson Hon Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda said the decisions to form People’s Government because DR. Kizza Besigye won 2016 general election.
He added that Museveni tempered with the outcome of this election like he had done before and got the electoral commission to delay him a winner.
“We were afforded no opportunity to legally challenge this declaration as our candidate Dr. Besigye was kidnapped on Kampala streets and flown to Moroto by kale Kayihuura,” Nganda said.
The main duty is to empower citizens, raise their civic awareness and mobilize them to engage in non-violence actions that will continue weakening the Museveni regime, he explained.
The people’s government is a government of national unity and draws leaders from various political formations. It is still growing and all democracy seeking forces are invited to embrace it, Nganda noted.
“As you are aware, many other countries such as Kenya and Venezuela have since learnt from us.”
