Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga, She Corporate and Makerere University (She MAK) all confirmed their slots in the quarterfinals of this year’s FUFA Women’s Cup winning their games over the weekend.

Makerere University put up a remarkable performance to stun Asubo Gafford Ladies winning the game 3-0.

Despite struggling in the league, the University side got better of the 2016 finalists Gafford Ladies to secure a berth in the last eight.

Catherine Nagadya scored a brace while Prossy Nabukeera added the other as Makerere University marched on.

In the previous round (round of 32), Makerere University got a walkover after Bugiri Town View SS failed to turn up.

At MUBS Arena in Nakawa, last season’s runners up She Corporate edged past Muteesa I Royal University winning the game 1-0 courtesy of Millicent Mwanzi.

The Kenyan forward scored the lone goal of the game early in the game and this eventually guided the Sharks to the quarterfinals. She also scored at the round of 32 when She Corporate eliminated Ajax Queens.

Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga fought hard to see off Buganda region league outfit Divine Girls winning the game 1-0.

Prossy Nalwoga scored the all-important goal thus guiding the team to the quarterfinals.
