Controversial bush war hero Maj Gen. Kasirye Ggwanga has lauded Bobi Wine’s father as a good and generous man who fed them during the NRA war.
However, Ggwanga adds that Bobi Wine did not follow the good footsteps of his father, late Jackson Sentamu and instead turned into an “idiot.”
Gwanga was speaking during a one on one interview with a local television.
“Bobi Wine is a born of Gomba, food for the rebels was always collected at his father’s home! His father was a very smart guy! That’s why whenever people talk about Bobi Wine, I go back & remember his father,” Ggwanga said.
The army general said that he warned Bobi Wine to go slow on politics and rather work with President Yoweri Museveni to uplift his fellow youths from poverty.
“He [Bobi] is an Idiot! When he won, he came here and I told him that the first thing you should do is go to your fellow youths and make different organizations, then go to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to give you money because your youths are badly off! He didn’t go there. He just went astray,” he added.
He said that he can’t stop Bobi
Wine from attempting to oust Museveni and wished him all the best if he thinks
it is easy.
“Anyway I can’t block Bobi Wine because even me when I was released from
prison, I told Obote that I will hit you and I did. We are not at war with Bobi
Wine let him move and convince people in his own way,” he said.
