NRM National Chairman and Head of State H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is scheduled to officially open the 8-day retreat for the NRM Parliamentary Caucus here at the National Leadership Institute (NALI), Kyankwanzi this Thursday.
The National Chairman will also give a keynote address on “Building a Resilient and an Intergrated Self-Sustaining Economy”. Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda will Chair this session.
According NRM Secretariat spokesperson, Rogers Mulindwa, the former Executive Director of Uganda Investment Authority Dr. Maggie Kigozi will this afternoon take the Legislators and other invited members through the Lessons, Challenges and Prospects of Investment Promotion. Other speakers today will include Mr. Patrick Bitature, the Chairman Simba Group of Companies and Mr. Kajabugo-Rusoke, a Senior Lecturer at NALI.
“The Retreat will among others help participants to appreciate the performance of Government in the implemenration of the major sectors of the NRM Party Manifesto 2016-2021,” Mulindwa said.
The Retreat runs under the theme, “Industrialisation for Job Creation and Shared Prosperity.”
The NRM Secretary General Rt. Hon. Justine Kasule Lumumba will later in the week present a paper on the topic, “Towards 2021: Milestones and Strategies for the Party.”
This retreat is coordinated by the office of the Government Chief Whip Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa Sentamu who also doubles as the Chairperson of the NRM Parliamentary Caucus.
