Police deployment has early this morning been intensified in Mbarara town, Western Uganda ahead of the veteran Politician Dr. Kiiza Besigye’s visit to the area.
His visit is part of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) National wide grassroot check caravan aimed at strengthening the party support and educating the public about the newly initiated People’s Government.
Besigye has already visited areas like Kayunga, Gulu, Kaliro, Kalangala, Kabale, Rubanda among others.
He is expected to meet with all western Uganda party leaders and also hold a rally in the city center.
However some of his events have occasionally been antagonized by security operatives like his talkshow program on Hope Radio that was yesterday dissolved halfway on orders of the Kabale Resident District Commissioner (RDC).
Besigye is trailing the country with passionate FDC Leaders like the party president Patrick Amuriat, Ingrid Turinawe, Hon. William Nzoghu, Mubarak Munyagwa, Ambassador Wasswa Birigwa, Former Leader of Opposition in Parliament Phillip Wafula Ogutu, Nandala Mafabi among others.
