A co-owner of Kololo based Hickory Bar and Restaurant Ainebyona Arnold Mugisha has been shot dead by a security guard.
The Tuesday morning incident happened at Naalya-based Quality Supermarket where Mugisha and his colleagues had come to shop but as they were leaving, the deceased reversed the car and drove on the foot of a security guard, Awaze Babu.
A quarrel ensued in which a second security guard Moses Angoria picked up his SAR gun and shot the deceased in the mouth.
While a mob descended on the shooter, Mugisha was rushed Independent Hospital, Kampala in Ntinda where he was pronounced dead.
A murder case has been opened at Kira Police Division under file case Vide Kira CRB 530/2019 as investigations continue.
The police say that Angoria is at Mulago Hospital nursing wounds he started from the mob beatings while the late Mugisha’s body was also taken to the Mulago Mortuary for postmortem.
Mugisha died while being rushed to Independent Hospital Ntinda.
His body has been taken to Mulago Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
The suspect is also admitted to Mulago hospital for first aid.
