Police Rounds Up Bwebajja Notorious Criminal Gang

A notorious gang in Bwebajja, Kajjansi Town Council in Wakiso District was rounded up by the Uganda police force officers.

This followed a case of Aggravated robbery that was reported at Bwebajja Police Station where a group of seven people armed with Pangas and other breaking implements attacked the home of Allan Joshua Mwesigwa, a resident of Bwebajja.

It’s alleged that they robbed two TV sets, wireless speakers, playstation, children’s passports, two phones and other assorted items. This happened on the 10/10/19 at about 11:00am.

According to police, Upon visiting the scene, clues were got and one suspect was identified by the community.

“An operation led by the area DPC was carried out which led to his arrest. The arrested suspect led the team to areas of Kawuku and kitara under Entebbe Municipality where two guns were recovered an SMG and SAR each loaded with five rounds of ammunition.” Police reveals.


A TV set, two sharp pangas, a pit axe, Martial strengthner, bags with new clothes, ladies jeweleries were also recovered.


In a search in another area called Kennedy, a TV, back pack with a Laptop were also recovered.
From there the team proceeded to Kitara at the shrine were a new mattress, two mobile phones, a bag, car keys and remote were also recovered.


Two suspects have so far been arrested and currently detained at Kajjansi Police Station.
Exhibits – pangas and guns – will be taken to Forensics Directorate for analysis.


We appeal to people who lost items around the mentioned area to visit Kajjansi Police Station to identify property if they are theirs.
Inquiries ongoing and more updates to follow.
