The Uganda police force has continued to explain the reason as to why they have foiled the consultative meetings of the People Power’s Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine.
According to the Kasangati Police commander Musinguzi, there were a series of issues that ranged from complying with the law, safety and health of the supporters.
Musinguzi set an example and revealed that Gayaza grounds where Bobi Wine intended to hold his debut gathering lacks places of convenience something for force would not give a deaf ear.
Earlier to this, police also revealed that that they blocked the meeting after intelligence revealed that the organizers had plans to do campaigns which contravenes the law.
Bobi wine is currently detained at Kasangati police station together with Bugiri municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Asuman Basalirwa, People Power Spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi among others.
In the same operation, police has also arrested NBS Television’s reporter Edward Kisekka, Radio Simba’s Ssematimba Bwejiire and NTV’s Arnold Sseremba.
