The National U20 women football team, embarked on serious training on the very first day Of Friday morning, after entering residential camp on Thursday evening at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
The is in preparation for the FIFA U20 Women World Cup Qualifiers against Tanzania U20 in Dar es Salaam scheduled for Saturday 18th January 2020.
A team of 30 players was summoned and is being handled by head coach Oliver Mbekeka, assisted by Christine Wanyana, Ibrahim Mugisha (Goalkeeping coach).
Five(5) of the 30 are yet to report to camp as they still have another engagement with U17 Women National Team that will clash with Ethiopia U17 in the FIFA U17 Women World Cup Qualifiers on Saturday 11th January 2020 at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

‘We have started on a slow note because it has been a while since we came together, but by the end of the seven days that we have here, the players will have picked up the needed grades’ said Mbekeka said.
Mbekeka however, expressed the challenge on the fitness level of players, this is the reason why much of the emphasis was on physical training on the sand.
