Veteran opposition Politician Dr. Kizza Besigye has his Monday after in Sheema District, western Uganda.
The former presidential aspirant was meeting executive members of VIVA (Village to Village Associations) formed in the area to work as a campaign task force to bring president Museveni and his agents like Hon. Minister of Science and Technology Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye down come 2021.
Sheema district has 15 VIVAs that are operational but Besigye met members Migina, Kiziba, Itendero Town Council, Rwenshama, Kihunda, Kanyina Sheema, Nyakashambya, Kashozi West, Kashozi East, Kabwohe Ward, Kigarama, and Masheruka Town Council VIVA executive members.
FDC established VIVA groups as away of mobilizing locally members and supporters to help each other grow and develop, and also support each other in times of adversity.
Members Mobilise themselves and collect money where the smallest group had collected 5M and the group with biggest collection had raised 15M planning to engage in bee 🐝 🐝 keeping among other business activities.
Besigye and Deputy Minister of Works in People’s Government Virginia Plan Mugyenyi awarded certificates to the best performing groups.
