Kira Municipality lawmaker Hon. Ssemujju Nganda together with Makindye West’s Hon. Allan Ssewanyana and Rubaga North’s Moses Kasibante threw the House on fire yesterday.
This was after the opposition Chief whip raised concern over the quality of food being distributed by Government as relief.
Ssemujju presented a sample of the beans and Posho that were distributed yesterday saying that the food is not fit for human consumption.
With the raising intergections from ruling party lawmakers, Hon. Ssewanyana decided to pour the rotten beans on the floor of the House a move that attracted a lot of mixed reactions and chaos in the the chambers.
Bitter Ngora district woman representative Hon. Jacqueline Amongin challenged the claim by Nganda that the relief food by Government is of poor quality.
She says that Hon. Ssemujju and other members are out of order by undermining the efforts by Government.
She says that Ugandans who have received the food are grateful.
