Museveni Implores Youths to Prioritize Working For Peace

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged Ugandan youth to take advantage of government programs and engage in income generating ventures.

Museveni made this comment while meeting with National Resistance Movement (NRM) youth leaders from the Karamoja sub-region in Moroto.

“I urge you to prioritize working for peace, take advantage of government programs and engage in income generating ventures, fearing God and live a responsible life style.” Museveni said.

President also noted that government has set up youth projects and Saccos to create jobs and capital acquisitions, we are also going to set up an ICT and innovation center in Karamoja.

After this meeting, Museveni also commissioned Hotel Africana Moroto, the very first of its kind in the area.

“This will attract more tourists here. We are going to tarmac the Kotido-Kaabong road and connect to the Kenyan border to attract more tourists.” Museveni said.
