After a hectic day marred with running battles and blockages by security forces, the NUP party candidate Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi Wine finally beat all odds and convened his campaign rally.
Bobi Wine who spoke to the gathering made several pladges to the people among which was the immediate revival of the Bunyoro glory which has been abused by the ruling NRM party.
Kyagulanyi who values the notion that mineral wealth in a region should first be of great development to the people of the area in which it is located as opposed to Museveni’s belief that it is his personal property, pledged to share equally the oil wealth with all the people of Bunyoro and the rest of Uganda.
In his speech, Bobi said that all people will benefit from the oil wealth once he becomes president.
Meanwhile, the opposition Forum for Democratic Change party candidate, Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi is also in the same region canvassing for votes.
He is to be joined by the four time presidential contender Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye who will brace his manifesto launch in Hoima.
