The crime intelligence department together with Uganda wild life authority has netted three suspects in connection of the poisoning of the six lions in queen Elizabeth national park.
The incident which happened last Friday at Ishasha conservation area of queen Elizabeth park left the country wonder who could be behind this hastily act against the wildlife
According to chief warden of Queen Elizabeth Conservation Area Mr. Pontiuos Ezuma revealed that the three were netted last night after community members tip UWA off and they informed the security which followed the clue to where lion’s heads were hanging in a mango tree.
He added that the managed to find and recover the lions heads from the mango tree in Kyenyabutongo village in kihih sub country in kanungu district and arrest the suspects who will face the courts of law and face the charges.
Ezuma didn’t mention the names of the suspects that it may interfere with police investigations
This came after UWA had issued out a prize of 10 million to whoever may known the where about of people who might have poisoned the only female 6 climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth park
