Bukonzo West lawmaker Hon. Godffrey Katusabe Artkins has been appointed to the opposition’s shadow cabinet as Minister for Public Service.
Katusabe is among the 7 Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) members of Parliament named on the long-waited list that sets parameters between front and backbenchers during plenary.
This is not his first Shadow cabinet appointment, with the most recent one being foreign affairs docket that he held successfully during the 10th Parliament.
He is the lawmaker led the opposition delegation that filed a petition to the International Criminal Court in Hague demanding for the arrest of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Gen. Peter Elwelu over the November 2016 attacks on Rwenzururu Kingdom of Omusinga Charles Wesely Mumbere.
Katusabe has for years earned himself heroic titles like Omulhemberi Wabosi meaning ‘leader for all’, and Muthabali ‘the common man’s worrier’ in the entire Rwenzori region having erased (Home and Away) President Museveni’s longtime ally and former Minister of Defense Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga from local politics.
