President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has lost his Partner aunt.
In a communication made via his official twitter handle, Museveni stated that Kaaka Jiresi (97) will be laid to rest on Monday at their ancestral home in Rwakitura.
“I regret to announce the death of one of my paternal aunts (tatenkazi), Kaaka Jiresi Keminagano (97). She died at 8pm last night at Nakasero from conditions related to old age and long-time immobility in a wheelchair. She will be buried at Rwakitura, tomorrow.” One of the tweets reads.
He also revealed that Only very few people have been requested to conduct the burial in accordance with the COVID-19 regulations.
Museveni also highlighted that the relatives, acquaintances, and friends, are requested not to try and congregate at the burial because it is dangerous and has no value addition.
“A video recording of the burial will be done and shared with all concerned. We praise the Lord Almighty for her long life. May her soul rest in eternal peace. This is to inform all relatives, friends, acquaintances, and the NRM fraternity.” He stated.
