Mama Fina Wipes Off Heavyweight Lifter Ssekitoleko’s Tears, Donates Motorcycle, Shs 2m

Popular philanthropist Mama Fina has given embattled heavyweight lifter Julius another reason to love Uganda more.

This was after the traditional healer fulfilled her pledge to by the Youthful sportsman a motorcycle that would help him get a living.

While delivering the motorcycle, Mama Fina also handed a cash respite of UGX 2,000,000 as startup capital.

She implored Ssekitoleko to continue working hard and sacrificing for his motherland

With outmost pleasure Ssekitoleko praised Mama Fina including all Ugandans that have stood by his side amidst the trying times.

Backgound

 Julius Ssekitoleko is a Ugandan Olympic weightlifter, competing in the 56 kg category and representing Uganda at international competitions. He has competed at world championships, including at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Ssekitoleko two weeks back vanished in Japan after he failed in his bid to compete in the Tokyo Olympics was arrested upon returning home last Friday and has been detained without charges ever since.

The man, Julius Ssekitoleko, 20, made headlines after it was reported that he had disappeared from the Ugandan team’s training site in Izumisano, a city in Osaka.

It is still unclear how exactly Ssekitoleko made it to the training camp in the first place, given that he had failed to qualify for the Olympics.

Once it became clear that he could not participate, he had been expected to return to Uganda. Instead, he fled, and police tracked him down a few days later, according to Uganda’s Criminal Investigations Directorate.

Upon his return to Uganda, Ssekitoleko was taken into police custody, where he remains, even though no charges have been filed, his legal team told NBC News.
